Our Story

Bride’s Best Friend was founded in 1984 by Denise Shaw after she became a bride! She realized after planning her own wedding, and helping numerous friends and family members plan their weddings, that everyone was going through similar situations without guidance or direction. Each story was different, but the stress and frustrations were the same!

Denise decided to put her experience, organizational skills, business education and love to serve others into a business that could help busy couples plan the details of their weddings. She wanted to make sure the couple could enjoy the day without worry – she wanted to be the supportive best friend. Thus, Bride’s Best Friend was born!
